The overly confident prizefighter who double-crosses the mob boss, Butch Coolidge is a character straight out of film noir. He’s probably familiar with the genre and thinks he knows how things are going to shake down. But this is a Tarantino movie, so Bruce Willis’ Butch ends up in situations that would make John McClane piss himself.
